An as yet unidentified Democratic ally of Hillary Clinton had on their payroll an entity called Fusion GPS.

A former Wall Street Journal reporter founded Fusion GPS, a research firm, which hired a British spy in June. That spy was to try  to uncover any ties Trump had to Russia, reported the Daily Caller.

And now, Fusion GPS is claiming attorney-client privilege and First Amendment protection in its attempt to avoid answering questions from the Senate Judiciary Committee. Questions about who their client is and what the British spy was hired to do.

Questions about Fusion’s interactions with the FBI.

Now, don’t get me wrong, as an attorney myself, I understand how important the attorney-client privilege is, to protect a client’s confidential information.  But, I always thought one had to actually BE an attorney, to claim the ATTORNEY-client privilege!

Now, I’m sure Fusion GPS’ attorneys are just trying to do their jobs to try to protect their client.  I can respect that.  But what are they trying to hide?  The identity of the Clinton ally who had them on her payroll?  The tie to Hillary Clinton?

And why is a claim of attorney client privilege being used?  Fusion GPS is run by journalists, not attorneys.  Furthermore, it has “an institutionalized reputation for doing shoddy and underhanded political work, and nearly all of it has been at the behest of Democrats looking to attack Republicans,”  reported the the Weekly Standard.

It seems as if the Dems will do anything to protect their little Hillary. It’s time they get over it, and admit they lost.  Trump is our President and a darn good one!
